I have been a professional photographer since 2017, when I opened Robotic Clouds Photography. I have specialise mainly in documentary style photography for families and couples, but have also ventured into outdoor empowerment photography. I have been privileged enough to be invited by families and couples to share and capture their most intimate moments and it has been an honour.  

 

Having turned 40 last year, I finally figured out that all the craziness I was feeling was the onset of the menopause. I cannot tell you the relief. I honestly felt like I was losing my mind.  But amongst the endless reading and pulling myself back together, something clicked and I knew I needed more. I want my work to have a deeper, longer lasting effect.

 

Talking with other women who also found themselves at a turning point in their lives; having been through trauma, illness, loss and other life changing events, I knew that photography could help them acknowledge their incredible strength, embrace the person they have become and see themselves in a new, positive and loving way. 

 

So this is now my mission! To encourage and ensure that every person, regardless of gender, sexuality, age or shape, who comes to me at Velvet Sugar Studios, leaves with a renewed sense of self. A renewed relationship with themselves and a new, more positive inner voice to guide them onto their next chapter. 

 

For many of us, me included, the negative mental conditioning that has formed from years of media influences has to be unlearnt for us to step into our true power. Luckily, the self-love and empowerment movement is strong out there. The more of us who embrace this and become visible advocates for judgement free self-love and celebration, the better.

 

So, no matter where you are on your self-love and empowerment journey, I hope to help you take positive and powerful steps forward to falling in love with yourself. You deserve it!
